    Actually I want to know how do you make the slanted lines in photoshop. Is it all manual? or is there a automatic way like in fireworks - just add line diag texture but firework's only make 1 pixel lines

    i think that background effects tutorials are often very useful. Also, basic selection techniques.. There are so many of them yet people can't get it right! :p
