Printing in photoshop...

Discussion in 'Photoshop' started by Piggy, Jan 30, 2010.

I've printed from photoshop many many times in the past, but i've got a new printer, an HP Officejet 6500 Wireless and just now needed to print something from photoshop on it for the first time. Whenever I print something it prints very small... I've tried changing the resolution, dpi, image size and everything, but I can't get it to print to the right size? It appears fine in print preview.

    Any suggestions?

Try printing something with another program to check whether it's photoshop settings that are messing up and not your printers'

I've done that, and it is Photoshop. I've just been saving my images as png's and printing from paint for the time being, but I would really like to figure out what's going on with Photoshop's printing. I've reset it to defaults and everything...

Just print some word documents and see it is coming normal or it is also coming smaller. If not then check the photoshop settings or printers settings. Make it default settings.

I want to agree with many posts above. The first thing you should do is to check printing settings. I’m sure that is the main issue. Print some other documents. If they are ok after all settings changes, you can print images.

If you like to take print of an image then you may file save as JPEG with 300-more dpi with in which you like to print your image after doing that....... you may take certain print according to your desire and requirements.........
