Problem: Two Pages with Same Content, Different Ads

So, I have two pages with the exact same content. Everything is the same, the meta tags, title, HTML code, everything.

I have a page called colon.php which didn't serve any ads relevant to my content.
I copied the page to colon2.php, and wa-lah - it served relevant ads, yet both pages are exactly the same.

What is going on? How can I display relevant ads in colon.php? I've seen other people have had the same problem too, so it's not just me. I've tried section targetting, adding content... I've even removed all outbound links.

colon.php has probably got unrelated links to it that Google tries to base content on. colon2 is fresh so ads are based on text on page only.

So you're saying colon.php has pages that are linking to it that are not relevant and the other page doesn't have pages linking to it?
