    Yeah, I don't see the point :( I almost always use quick reply and now it's not much faster than clicking on 'Post Reply'.. in fact if I'm drunk it'll probably be slower, damn fiddly lil quick reply buttons :(:(

    IMO, it's an unnecessary extra step. One of the things I liked about the way it was implemented here as opposed to on most vBulletin forums was you didn't HAVE to click a button to activate Quick Reply. Requiring the poster to do so makes absolutely no sense to me... If I am typing something in the Quick Reply box, shouldn't it be ASSUMED that I want to reply?

    Truthfully the reason I switched it so you have to click the icon to quick reply is there is a minor bug in it that makes the quick reply text stay in the box even after you reply. It's been fixed for the next version of vBulletin, which probably isn't too far off (the beta come out pretty rapidly), so it will go back to how it was at that point.

    Were there a lot of double posts due to the minor bug?

    I never minded seeing my message still in quick reply since you can see your post so quick anyway. I'd like to live with the minor bug if it wasn't causing you too many issues Shawn... but if it needs to stay this way until the next update I'll still be happy and live with it.

    It's going to stay until the update (sorry). But it really shouldn't be too far away to be honest. beta 1 was released less than 48 hours ago and more than half of the reported bugs since then have already been fixed, so...
