Profit Sharing Collective Via Software

Ive come to the conclusion that Im one of these people that finds it very difficult to self motivate. Does anybody know of some sort of profit sharing collective community.

By that I mean a way to manage a bunch of authors and webmasters working on a couple projects at a time via software. Ever heard the expression "many hands makes light work" ? Well thats what im shooting for here. Ideally as much of the administration as possible would be software driven, given that the participants in this system are spread around the globe.

What im talking about isnt a development team, where there is a boss, and employees earning a salary, more like an open source team, where everybody has a job based on there skills and takes a percentage cut from the advertising revenue.

Has anyone ever seen software like this? Software capable of delivery something like this? I imagine this software would have to be custom. Possibly if a bunch of people got together and contributed a few dollars each we could create software like this.

Anywayz this is an embryonic idea, Im sure its been attempted before, possibly teams of people like this exist.

Let me know your thoughts guys, id love to be part of a community like this.

Sounds good but if there are many people willing to work on PHP projects lets say, then how will it be decided who gets the job?

It would also become difficult to combine individual work by different people to run as 1 complete system or complete project.
Example: A script for affiliate management.
    1 developed shopping cart, (asian)
    another developed affiliate login.(europe)
Another developed display in affiliate account. (USA)
Another developed tracking code to be integrated with shopping cart.(australia)

Now all these individual scripts will have to combined to work as an affiliate management system. All have different variables used and different names etc.
    How will it be done?
    Any thoughts are much appreciated.

    regards
