You are indeed. Photoshop is the (in my opinion) best program for creating logos, banners, layouts.. and more. graphics you see on the internet nowadays are most probably made with photoshop!

I used photoshop for banner design (best and fastest way to design banners with image/text effects). Also for animations I would use imageready from adobe.

    scuba5794,

    Hi,

as forum users wrote above, Adobe Photoshop is a great software for designing anything, including banner/logos. The main thing is practice: the more you practice - the more you succeed. If you're a beginner, maybe you'll have some difficulties in this, but never give up. Later, after learning it very well, you'll be much oblidged :)

i was thinking of making an offer to DP members. I was going to offer to make a free banner/logo for the first 5 people that reply to me. Do you guys think this is a good way to gain some experience? Do you have any other methods to gain experience, because right now i am just learning through tutorials and i am not gaining enough experience learning this way. Any suggestions are welcome thanks!!

If you think that it'll help you and if you're really ready to get some feedbacks feel free to make a logo for "Smokaveli" :)

A good place to start looking for inspiration are the logo competitions here at DP ... they give you an idea of the quality that you need to achieve: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=94

You can do a logo for me for the site whatwhenwho.co.uk perhaps with a blue colour-scheme, a web 2.0 clean look to it.

    Thanks
