Project management system

After starting a translation service now, I've found out that we need a portal where our translators will be represented with the available projects and then can choose to take them. After they have been taken, the project must "disappear" from the portal and only be visible to the person who took the project and the admin.

Is there such a system out there? Any suggestions?
I've tried dotprojects and php projects, but non of them had this type of system.

Hmph, you are sort of asking for a few things but I think this will steer you in the right direction.

You could also glue some stuff together with Joomla by using a classifieds system and or the jobline extension.
I have messed with the later a bit, jobline is ok I suppose.
