    I would like to start a business and have been looking into crowdfunding but what is stopping someone with more capital to taking the idea and running with it?

    What you have said is very vague.....

    Are you starting crowdfunding for a particular niche?

    a business starting with more money then you doesn't mean they will be more successful, if you have no competition its very likely you don't have a business
