"proxy" in the domain name?

I'm curious as to ppl's opinions on having the word "proxy" in the domain name of a proxy site. I'm sure it gets banned automatically at many schools. Anyone have an opinion on it (preferably those who actually run proxies)?

Yes, having the word proxy in the domain you have more possibilities of get banned, mainly for automatic block software, but the good point is that a domain with the proxy word is better remembered for the visitors i think, and you will have more returning visitors. I try to have some proxy domains with these word, and also domains with similar words, or for example hidden, unblock, etc.

In any case, if your proxy becomes very popular you will be blocked with all the domains.

    Good luck
