Proxy Site Business Partner

Alright everyone this is what I have so far. I am looking for a partner to set up a proxy service with me. I need this partner to be able to create the site in photoshop and code and then insert the script into it so that the proxy is in the new layout. I already have the domain ready for the site and I have hosting till may 5th, 2007. The hosting is 20GB of space and 750GB of bandwidth so I'm thinking its plenty of space and bandwidth for a new proxy site.

Now your thinking what is in it for me. Every month the profits will be splitted 45% / 45% so that you will get 45% of the profit. (most of these proxy sites after a month or two are making $200 a month in adsense traffic.) 45% will go to me for using my hard earned cash for the server it runs on. Now your wondering what the missing 10% is. Well that is to renew the domain in may and the hosting.

Also this project may end up into more profit projects so be aware of this. This is a good money wise project if you are up to it and needs someone that is online a lot. If you are intrested in this partnership please get back to me because I wanna make this work.

Sorry to ask my own question, but I see TONS of posts about proxies...

My internet is all screwed up so I thought if I used a proxy it would work - which it does! I found a bunch of proxies here:
http://www.proxy4free.com/page1.html

But, all I need to do is enter the ip/port into my web browser. Who owns/what are most of these IPs? How on earth do they make ANY money?

You will own the domain, others may be reluctant to accept you offer due to just that single fact. You can terminate your partnership any time when you get it working and earning leaving them at no hope. Probably that kind of business (sharing a single domain) wont go much longer. You can instead offfer to host 2 domains, one for you one for your partner ssharing ad impressions 50/50, paying for the hosting yourself and getting your partner handle other proxy/site related stuff. That will give some security to your partner as well.

The web base proxies make money by advertisements. IP/Post based (OPEN) proxies usually make nothing. Its not legal to use these OPEN proxies either. They usually got left open to public becuse of not being properly setup. They are intended to be used by computers in their internal networks to connect to the internet.

 

I have a lot of active proxys and he is right ..most are set up incorreclty and or ..being used to send a lot of email or other stuff. I have a nice combo of a proxy that i use that pay very well. Obviously with so many ..I have it down to a fine art.

Advise ..find out what you want you proxy to do ..and ONLY ALLOW THAT.

If you leave it wide open ..it will be and is exploited by step57 and others that kill systems.
