    Hi,

I'm quite experienced in using programs suchas photoshop to create website designs but I am now looking at taking this one step further and wanting to learn about how I could convert them into a wordpress site or even a blog. I was just wondering (since members on this forum are usually very responsive and helpful) if anyone could just briefly tell me the basics of how this is done. By no means am I looking at asking someone to teach me this since I know it will take a lot of time to learn, however a basic outline would be nice :)
Does it need to be coded by hand like HTML and CSS? Or because wordpress is a CMS, that makes it easier for the customer to edit, is there a different way of going about it?

    Any thoughts/help is greatly appreciated,
    Sam

That's how it's usually done, but there's a Photoshop plugin that can do it, called Devine Project. I don't know how good it is.

Not really, that mostly applies to content. Widgets and plugins are great but they are very limited.

This tutorial is good but messy. Unfortunately, there are not many PSD to Wordpress tutorials around.
