    I was wondering, people say not to put original photograph while registering on website or completing profile on the web. Is attaching true photograph an advantage or disadvantage?
    I prefer true photograph.

    I guess it depends on what you will use the profile for. Mine are all legit and personal so they get a real photo - or something that clearly isn't meant to be me. My current avatar is a fish hook but I've been online since the days when avatars weren't meant to be photos.

    I think it does not matter to your website that you are uploading your own image or a fake image while I also prefer a real photograph it increase the reliableness of your contacts on you or people can recognize you easily.
