Is there any reason why the Google spiders would not be able to index http://www.openpress.com/ ?

Is there a CSS problem with Google spiders?

So far Google has only indexed our front page and nothing else.

I don't get it.

 

how old is it?

it's quite common for google to first grab just the index, and return and do a deep crawl later on.

 

every Vbulletin forum is CSS - and they have no problems.

I have no idea what your problem is..... Maybe you should check here for ways to improve your site: SEO I noticed you have no backlinks at all........... is that link generator of yours not working for you now?

 

The site has been live for 2 months and has new press releases every day.

huh? where do you get that from?

 

all your pages have the same filename: www*openpress*com/index*php. SE don't make the difference between pages that have a parameter (?) as a name. You should give a real filename to your pages so each page would have a seperate url, not only index.php?something&something. It's an old problem. There are threads here that explains how to easily name your pages without screwing up your site structure.

 

I just checked Google and got the same results. It looks like Google hasn't picked up your backlinks yet.

Yes they do. index.html and index.html? are two differnet files as far as Google is concerned.

PRbot - If you don't know how to find out how to find out how many backlinks you have, you clearlty do not have 2000 links...

I have read the articles relating to you and your past activity and as a result am now VERY sceptical of ANYTHING you say. That is the reason for my blunt post. Again, if I am wrong I apologise.

 

Maybe google banned you?

 

The reason I know I have at least 2000 links is because I have registered and posted on 2000 forums PLUS i run a link generator program which creates links to my sites automatically. Google takes a lonk tome to index all those sites and Google never shows the correct amount of backlinks. I sugest YOU learn how to check for back links.

Start by comparing yahoo backlinks and Google backlinks etc.

For example, http://www.mystockforum.com has about 600 back links yet google shows nothing.
