OK I own a forum www.TalkWhatever.com and have AdSense ads (both banner and text) on the forum. The homepage has the banner ads top-right which I am fine with. The thread pages have both banner in top-right and leaderbaord at the bottom - thinking it doubles the number of impressions for banners while the leaderboard image is not going to be clicked often.

My question is do you think the text ads on thread views are the right color? Should I go for the straight up blue link? I don't get many click thrus and want to improve on this.

Any insight into banner ads would also be appreciated - this is the first time I have ever utilized banner advertising for anything other than affiliate advertising.

i think you should make it the same color as the links on your forum would be. also the adsense banner on your header is blocking your image

Hi Phillip - Thanks for the input. What browser are you using? It's working for me in FireFox and IE 6

I'm using firefox and saw the same thing.

in my opinion, and experience, forums are horrible for click conversion. I think you have a better chance of making money on a stricly cpi type advertisement campaign.
