Question about HostMonster

It advertised its hosting service as being able to host unlimited domains. I recently bought four other domains through godaddy, and now I want to add them to this hosting package, giving each of them a seperate ftp account. How do I do this?

 

This is what the support tech said:

I am used to having a seperate entire account for each domain. What is the deal with this? What should I do? I assumed I was going to get a seperate login for the Cpanel/FTP for each domain.

 

Are you trying to resell the accounts? If not then why do you need a separate FTP account for each add on domain?

If you are asking how to point a domain to one of your add on domains than this is a different story.

 

Basically, I am asking what I should do as far as bringing my four other domains to the account. Also, does that somehow make them less important or less significant as far as visitors and search engines are concerned when compared to the main domain of the account?

 

Create 4 add on domains on your HM account with the name of your domains at GD. Then point your GD domain names to the HM account. It sometimes may take up to 24 hours to get straight.

 

Click "Addon domains" in your cpanel and add your domains there.

 

And my visitors will not know the difference? What about google? Will they be ranked less because they are a redirect?

 

No difference at all..It's a way to maintain the site,it isn't redirect!

 

Ok, i got it to work. Now I am having problems with the mysql databases for my addon domains. Is there any special trick to get these to work?
