Question about merchant accounts & affiliates

    Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right section to post. My question is my friend has a product to sell and clickbank doesn't work out for him because he needs to have direct contact with the customers. So he's thinking to start his own affiliate network. The question is does he need to have a company and a merchant account in order to do that or if he can use his personal name and send out payments by paypal. The reason is he is still in the beginning of selling his product and doesn't want to have all the trouble to start a company and deal with the taxes and stuff like that.
