Question about re-use of old content

    Hi everyone,

2 years ago i had a website up on web design and SEO, I wrote a lot of guides etc that i would like to reuse on my new site.
The Old site has been offline since Jan 2011.

I know that duplicate content can get you negative points in googles eyes, but the content is no longer online except for on the wayback machine.
Can i use this content again now without any trouble ?

Thanks in advance for your answers,

    Best Regards

    Tommy

Edit: Thinking about this more, could i use that site as a source of content that would no longer be on the net? content that maybe i did not write.

Since your site is "offline" i.e. not crawled by Google in the recent years and if you are intending to re-launch it anytime soon then I don't see any harm in re-using the content.

If the content is not indexed it's not considered to be published online and would be considered unique.

If the content is offline for such a long time, I guess it must be out of google index now, so you can use it without any prejudices.

Change the content up a bit and you're fine, for now.

I've used content from old sites because WBM only showed up like the first sentence and generated a lot of traffic from excellent old posts.
