    If I embed a youtube video for streaming and the video is 6mb in size does it mean it takes up 6mb of my bandwidth to play?

    no. I have a lot of these on my site - they don't use my bandwidth.

    Nope, takes up 100% of YouTubes bandwidth, the only bandwidth that is "spent" on your site is downloading the page. Hope I've helped :)

    That's right you are not affected one bit.

    It's the same idea as if you took an image and linked it from my site. I would lose say 100kb. But if you hosted that image you would lose the 100kb when someone viewed the page.

    The videos are streamed from YouTube so it wastes 0 of your bandwidth.
