    I am starting a forum and had a general question. Will it affect my chances with adsense (or any other similar thing) if its a free service instead of a purchased service (host and domain)?

    Secondly, are there any good free phpBB based forum hosts which you guys can recommend.

    I would reccomend you get your own domain and hosting if you are serious at all in having a website being a success.

    I don't know too much about free forum hosting, google it and look at a few.

    With free service, where will you put your adsense?

    I have a forum and it has its own adsense from the owners.

    check it out. Perhaps you can tell me if I could use my own adsense.

    same as others, go and get your own hosting and domain name. They are very cheap nowadays. Domain name, you can get from namecheap while hosting, use hostingzoom. the combination is very cheap for you.

    My advice for you is
    Never go for free option, if you plan to make money from your business. Because it is unprofessional to do that.
