I have a few articles that are getting quite a lot of hits on my blog. I am also #1 for a particular search term that is quite popular right now.

Should I add more AdSense or other ads like AuctionAds or even affiliate ads to that particular post? Will it turn the readers off from reading the article?

Don't overload the users with ads.. Just stick to 1 - 2 adsense units at first.

If you are adding it directly to any post, I would not do it unless you have an ad that relates to the posting. For example, I did a post about eBay and I put an ad with it, otherwise I never put ads in my post.
