Random 3,613 jump in traffic

    I gave up on a blog a few months ago, and I still had its stats tracking. Well last Saturday It went from 1-2 uniques a day to exactly 3,613. and a thousand more page views than that. The site is related to news and humor, and the combination of the two. Is there something that could of triggered such a huge jump?

    You have no tracking on where the traffic came from? try a search for your site in the major SE, digg etc

    those look like statcounter charts so you should be able to tell from the referers if you got dugg or something similar.

    On statcounter you have to be a member to get more than 100 logs of where they came from. Im not a member, all I can see is the last 100.

    From what I can see recently, when did saddam die? LOL. I have a post on that blog about saddam and I am still seeing people coming from searches of saddams hanging. That might be it.

    That MUST of been it. I spelled saddams name wrong, and if you google search sadams hanging im on the bottom of the second page.
