Your lighting is wrong for the sign, also the angle it's at doesn't correspond to the shade. Also the edges seem to be cut they shouldn't look like so they should look natural.

for the direction the light source is coming from, the shadow of the sign is all wrong. and as stated above, edges are choppy. 2/10

    2/10.
All you did was erase most of the first, and then pasted onto the second.
Not too hard. And the shadow looks simple.

hmm you guys a harsh, id give it a 4-5

What you need to fix are the saturation(try hue/saturation tools), lighting(try burn, dodge tools), cleanness of cutout(there are some white spots remaining), shadow(put it to multiply or overlay mode or something instead of normal mode. That way it won't be just a plain color but will look more like a real shadow. Also try to distort it a little bit so it would fit more with the images proportions)

Hope it helps, good luck ;)

well look at it like this. the light source is low and to the left. casting very long shadows (look at the astronaut's) and the direction of the stop sign is facing the astronaut. so witht he light from the left, you wouldn't see a big circle in the shadow because it would be hitting the thin side. tape a bottle cap on the tip of a pen and get a flash light out. put the light low and to the side of it and look at what i mean.

The color and the shading of the post needs improvement. The sign post looks glossy. the outlines are not finely done.

3/10, your cropped object result (road map) is not real/live at all, you need to adjust gradation/level to make it more "alive", "real" and "natural"

here's a quick and dirty fix, in Photoshop - with both street sign and background in one PSD file, with the street sign layer selected, go to image MENU - adjustments - match color -

down at bottom set source to your background.
set fader bar till the coloring makes it look like the street sign is really part of that picture, adjust color intensity and luminance bars slightly to make it even more believable.

    hope that helps

Maybe if you lowered the contrast of the street sign it would've played better in my eyes. But all in all the extraction is pretty nice and clean. I love your work on the shadows though it can be just a little sharper and the awkward angle of the sign make the shadow look awkward too. I'd rate it a 7/10 if your purpose is to integrate the sign on the moon picture.

There are 2 shadows for the pole/sign, i think the shadows should be in contrast with the everything. 6/10

I'd agree with 3/10, but you could totally make that work, if you got the lighting and shadow down...
