Have you ever been to a rave party???

I have been to many rave parties in last couple of years, some of my friends drag me there, but i think i do not fit there. No matter how much drunk i am, i just cannot dance to that music. I would just stand in a corner sipping my vodka and watching people acting funny.

People there are so high, the way they dance, make me nostalagic. In one of the party i saw a guy sleeping on a tree. I mean, how high was he???

And, theres that weird smell of weed and what not in atmosphere.

In my younger years I enjoyed the odd mega dance rave with 15-20 thousand people going mad:

Thats one huge party. The parties i've been to are organized in suburbs, with no security n stuff, they've all kinda weird illegal things going on there. I even saw a guy taking snake bites.

I guess the definition of a rave varies from place to place and has changed over time. They used to be spontaneous underground parties in the middle of nowhere but where I'm from they quickly commercialized into those mass events pictured above.

Wow (pics, didn't read text). Well, it's sort of the same I guess. Blokes take their tops off and to cal lit dancing would be a disgrace to whoever invented dancing :)

Back in the days in Holland, the more raves you would attent, the shorter your hair tended to be. In Goa it seems the other way around.

*Is that Anthony Cea there?* :D

And in Europe it's class A drugs as oppose to weed at those gigs.

4 days sounds a bit longwinded to me. No wonder they're all phooked.

I used to love going to raves around NYC, and San Fransico . I used to go pretty regularly in about 94, 95 . It was fun for awhile, I went to one this guy i Knew put on a few years ago, felt way too old, there was like 18 year olds everywhere. A lot of raves around NY started getting pretty violent with gangs like BTS robbing people http://www.usatoday.com/news/nation/2001-05-16-ecstasy-usat.htm

I tried to dance there but was hit twice by a burning log, some freaky guy was juggling with burning logs.

Well, when i went to rave party i shaved my head ( asi could not grow hair in 15 days), I wanted to look different rather than boring regular style.

:D I think he is in the maroon lungi(trousers)

Goa has all kinda drugs, annual business of drugs in GOA is more than 1.1 Billion USD.

They just sleep (passed out) there in grass or whatever.

What a coincidence, I stopped going to raves too because I kept getting hit by burning logs....I think thats the second most common reason for injuries after the overdose.

PS. I had to turn off smell-o-vision for the thread due to your pictures

"Raves" are an awesome experience if you have the right mindset going in... namely "I am here to love music and feel energy". If you don't get that, don't go...

LMAO, i dont have pistures to support my comment, but anyhow, that was not the reason i dont like to dance in raves, i just dont get the music, its too much for me, thats the basic reason.

8 years back i used to go to one every weekend in london,uk. there used to be a regular group of people at each one, real community atmosphere. The police used to turn a blind eye then, i was 15 and would easily get into 18+ events with no ID and when we got searched it was only for weapons. if security found your pills or weed they'd pretend not to notice it and nod you in anyway.

I remember one time we were all too mashed roll a joint, one of the bouncers did it for us, good times. Then one hot summer we were in a packed club and people started overheating, by the end of the night 3 people were dead and a dozen more were in A&E. Ecstasy was blamed and they started taking the drugs off you at the doors, people started drinking instead, the whole atmosphere changed people got violent and abusive. Stopped going after that.

This quote reminded of song 'Gulilty Conscious' by EMINEM.

    Meet Stan, twenty-one years old.
After meeting a young girl at a rave party,
things start getting hot and heavy in an upstairs bedroom.
Once again, his conscience comes into play...

    RAP starts here:
Now listen to me, while you're kissin her cheek
and smearin her lipstick, I slipped this in her drink
Now all you gotta do is nibble on this little bitch's earlobe..
(Yo! This girl's only fifteen years old
You shouldn't take advantage of her, that's not fair)
Yo, look at her bush.. does it got hair? (Uh huh!)
Fuck this bitch right here on the spot bare
Til she passes out and she forgot how she got there
(Man, ain't you ever seen that one movie _Kids_?)
No, but I seen the porno with SunDoobiest!
(Shit, you wanna get hauled off to jail?)
Man fuck that, hit that shit raw dawg and bail..
