I may do this within the next few weeks. If I do, I'll definitely write a 'case study'.

LOL thats f*cked up to say.. but true :D

I saw her on, of all places, "The Situation - With Tucker Carlson". She is pretty famous.... now.

But back on topic.... wouldn't you get just as much is not more exposure CHEAPER by simply signing up and starting a campaign with fastclick or tribal fusion??

    Yeah, lol :) :D

How can you get that many friends. She must have used some sort of script or software to quickly get all of them.

They really should make it so you can target ads based on gender and age (obviously they have that info already).

They do offer that, sorry I didn't include it in my original post. Here:

MySpace Targeted Pricing - Targeting can be done by any of the profile features like age, city, gender, etc. Each additional targeting item is $.25.

    468x60 - $1.95 (top banner)
    728x90 - $2.15 (large top banner)
    300x300 or 300x250 - $3.00 (medium box)
    430x600 - $2.75 (large box)
    120x600 - $2.50 (vertical banner)

    :)

IMO this is getting way too expensive.. Don't know about the CTR on myspace pages, but I can assume it's not high as the pages I've seen until now are just a mess.. As someone said, it would probably be better to advertise with Tribal Fusion, Value Click or Casale when it comes to CPM. My guess is Casale has the best price offer on this. You'd get your impressions anyway, but on sites of higher quality. ;)

if you want to start off ... why not buying/ads on a profile with 50,000 -75,000 friends ..

u can post ur bulletin to 50,000 at one time .. everyday ... and u may get 10% clicking the bulletin ..

    just my thought ...

Fastclick etc you could bid 0.50 cpm for a 728x90 banner and alot of the publishers would approve this campaign, compared with myspaces $2 cpm its not worth it. Tila tequilas profile has had over 250,000,000 views...shit.

$2500 isnt that bad. adbrite wants $5000 as a minimum investment. I never made a myspace profile. Do they have a way to target by interests - ie collecting, shopping or what not - even more specific such as a specific movie? I guess they would almost have to. If multiple campaigns could be run, might be interesting. Even though I hate cpm.

Na, Myspace is something that I have to try and work on more.

    You know, a great deal of people, when infected with Samy's worm back before it was resolved... had the opportunity to change the code and have their own version spreading around exponentially and all (;

Unfortunately this didn't happen to us p; But I'm sure it must've happened for some...
