Joomla, because if its for a client and they want new features, they can just add new mambots, modules and components and its very easy to use.

If they prefer a blog style of things, go with wordpress.

It basically depends on what your client wants.

I just think Wordpress and Joomla are the best two out there, although there are money which do compare well.

if u looking for a simple CMS, then Wordpress or Drupal.. but if you want more functions and latest upgrades with good community support then Joomla is the best.

Joomla is great because you can add modules/widgets very easily with one click installs. Same goes for larger addons like entire site components and bots. At first Joomla! is a bit confusing, but once you learn the basics or somebody teaches you how to use it, it is very simple and has a great feel to it. I just wrote a little post on my blog about how to set up Joomla as a simple blog. The link is in my signature. =]

    Good luck.

Rage, Joomla is very self explaining

if it says all content items it shows all content items, you can even add more user friendly editors for your client, after a site is created with joomla i basically just go through 1-2(max) hours to teach them the basics, they dont have to know where to edit the css and where to edit the admin modules, they usually just basically manage1-3 components and the content after the site has been completed

Its like riding a bike :p

If you want something simple, then wordpress. If you want something very customizing and much better than wordpress then take joomla.

If you are happy jumping through hoops then Joomla is great but it has become very bloated.

As for me I use wordpress and build two or three content management sites a week for clients using it.

The main reason is I can teach them how to use it in a very short time online. Joomla is just not that easy to teach an absolute novice.

I agree with JAG however the latest few releases make it a very good CMS.
