Reddit offers many sections that target a lot of different interests.

But I feel that certain things may do well in terms of promotion while others are left in the dust.

If you used Reddit as a way to promote your sites, services, etc. what were they or at least what category did they fall under?

Plus, has anyone used the actual advertising system offered by Reddit?

 

In my opinion the advertising systems ofer by reddit are not going to help you promote your site or service, you can use a few social bookmarkings (like digg, delecious and more)

More than the advertising services, I like the reddit's bokmarking and link submission service. I think the advertising there is not very much effective.

 

Reddit is more stricted for me to bookmark my blog through reddit. There is a limit for bookmarking. And until now I have give a warning because give to many link to reddit. Even after a week. The warning is still exist for me.

 

All we have to do in promoting our sites is just a venture thus we do all thing we know to make our site popular and submitting to reddit is one thus we utilize hoping it can really help.

 

Reddit is use for social bookmarking. It was very important to see things that Reddit is a social network site that gives weight with traffics and it gives also quality backlinks.

For those who have used the actual advertising platform on Reddit, did you use Site-Wide targeting or did you target a specific subreddit?

 

I wouldn't use reddit for anythign else than social bookmark to be honest..

 

Is that Reddit gives do follow backlinks for the links posted?

 

I'm not sure. I heard that submissions that get many upvotes become dofollow or something along those lines. But again this might be old news and no longer relevant.

 

All we have to do interns of promotion over the internet is just like a matter of venture we do all we can and do all things we know that can help to promote the online presence of our site and Reddit is just one of the many site we can use to promote our site.

It has become a lot strict then previously. Yes, i had mailed reddit regarding Advertising options -Oh they are dahm costly, the campaign which i choose way costly then Stumbleupon & Digg

But I still use reddit after all.

 

I usually use Reddit for Social bookmarking purpose. because it provide us dofollow link and huge traffic.
