    I just did a test on one of my sites and got twice as many clicks with the skyscraper ad unit on the left side instead of the right. ;)

    Ad placement is good. I would add a light grey background to the right of your side (the menu area there with yoru adsense ad) to seperate it from the main content.

    I think your site looks great, actually. The ad placement appears to be in the right areas according to Google's heat map, and they're above the fold. How is it performing for you?

    i only just changed it over this morning. no clicks so far, and not sure about traffic, cause there is a big jump, but that is because i have been on it heaps because of designing it.
