renting out a website? what do you think?

    hi,

im thinking about a longer trip (at least 1 month), but i have a website (not this one in my sig) to take care of, so i guess if i just go and leave it the comminty may dry out after 1 week or so and i loose visitors, so i think the only solution may be to "rent" this website out to some other webmaster and let him place his own ads there while im away, and he spents 10-30mins/day to take care.
cant ask my friends because they dont have much knowledge about internet, so what do you think, what would you do or what are my other options? i dont want to take my laptop with me, the battery is almost dead, it may get wet in this area and i dont wanna take the risk to get this thing stolen and i prefer to travel lightweight.

    so, any ideas?

And if your tenant decided to link to some bad neighbours/porn and get your whole domain somehow banned upon your return you would be.........

What type of web site is it, what type of work is involved. It may work

yeah i know about the risk, so would go for some people with good reputation. but this topic is nothing where you can make big $$$, its just a spare time project, the dmoz category for this topic has only 11 other sites listed worldwide, so quite uninteresting for most people here and no "wanna have!" website. even my target group is always short on money :)

I think renting out sites is a good way to get residual income. I'm trying that tactic myself.
