    Hey,
    Been using forums for years but one thing I have never really looked at is the reputation, it isn't used on most forums but seems like DP is taking full advantage of it.

    Do most members here leave feedback?

    Great way to see what someone is like without checking their other posts.

    People have exploited the rep system here to the point it is completely invalid. People 'pumping' up each others votes... I have received many PM's asking me to vote for someone in a thread for a 'reciprocal' vote...

    The reason they do that is because you got REP POWER!! When they do that, you're supposed to go to the last post of the person who PMd you and de-rep them. They'll quickly learn not to PM you. :D:D:D

    I think I've learned something today. How unimportant the rep system really is. It's been blown so out of proportion by a few members (funny that they have been absent for a while) and they have used it out of revenge as well.

    What's started out as a joke had become serious. So, I think we should all be above this and post about something good.

    Slightly on topic and less boring...I believe there is a hack that allows you to give partial rep. So if you have a rep power of 8, for example, you can give just 1 to a person.

    With rep power getting bigger and bigger it may be a good hack as its impossible to give some rep but not affect it in a major way.

    You could, or you could just remove the rep system all together. It sounds like no one really cares about it anyway, well, except for those sending PM's to members to bump up their rankings.
