The banner's boring and the adsense really sticks out. Other than the low quality design, the content seems good.

I agree: the links-blok sticks out like a sore thumb. Change the color to the background-color.
In general: check your site in Firefox. The elements align badly in that browser.

Your head and right side adsense ads placement are really good. Good luck with your blog.

There are a few angles you could try:

    - promoting your site, so you get more visitors. More visitors should equal more income.
    - getting links to your site, so you get higher in the SERPS -> more visitors -> more income
    - optimizing your ads so you are getting the highest possible amount of clicks. Don't overdo it so that people won't like your site.

What you should always do is keep adding (quality and unique) content to your site.
Still, you can't expect your website to become twice as popular overnight - unless you are a promotion-guru. Do read up on online promotion though - creating a newsletter that fits your subject(s), advertising, being active in relevant forums (etc.).

Do you mean you only earn money form adsense and no other sources such as jobs? If so, I think you should make adsense your secondary income and have a proper day job.

I don't really understand your question, but FYI it should be "choose" rather than "chose" (chose being past tense).

Well hey I'd want to know!

Regarding ad placement, I would match header BG color with text links and move the links down, reducing the space below. If you're going for the "Oops, I thought that was a menu item" click, make it look as much like a menu as possible.

The content ads aren't too bad, but not entirely optimal. It's easy to skip them and narrow in on the first blog heading, which is what people will probably look for. I'd try to work the blocks in under the headers or between blog posts. You might experiment with Arial 13px and different colors.

Ad placement and optimizations will ultimately vary accortding to the type of traffic and the type of Web site.
