I used the search box, still not content AdSense can use, no links to those pages to follow, perhaps never used more than once for the same search...

AdSense is best used on sites with content, like readable, useful effective content. You search engine certainly has it's place, I'd be tempted to use it on my home recording studio site, but it won't be effective with AdSense, Adbrite or Bidvertiser might be better...

Looks like an interesting idea, however I would be careful with Adsense ads because Google's TOS rules might be a problem. It is not the placement but this thread.

    Q...

    Hi Vinnyband,

I'd be really careful with that site. There's all sorts of copyright issues with downloading music, and it the sort of thing google could shut your account down for in an instant.

If you do insist on continuing to monetize by adsense, you need to put a little more content on the pages. It could be as simple as a paragraph instructions below the search box and a slightly extended disclaimer on the search page.

    I'm sorry but I don't think
is really going to protect you too much legally seeing as your site is really intended for nothing BUT illegally downloaded music.

    My 20 cents.

If the files are hosted on your server, expect to pay huge files and go to jail, if they ARENT on your server, you're fine.

Yea, im not a lawyer, ignore me.

It looks like they are not on his server, but the furthest I would go is probably fine. It is still providing the tools to commit a crime, and with there not being anything else on the site except this it's hard to deny intent.

EDIT: Normal disclaimer - I am not a lawyer, and anything I say is not legal advice. BUT, you need to be careful with this.
