    I'm experimenting with a 5 ad link unit (728 x 15) - I reckon this is where people look naturally for links to sections and pages (I have them above it) it is not too intrusive and doesn't smack of a site made to serve ads. I've just started a thread asking how this placement works.

    I already noticed that 728 x 60 image and text did not work as well as text alone - I'm sure the image ads made the site look overly commercial...

    I redid my ad placements. Blended in the ads at the bottom and used a different size. using text ads only; as well as shortened the overall width of forum and got rid of the side bar.
