Hi, I've recently started this website
    http://go-anime.com
I played around with the placement but I am still not satisfied... can you suggest me some working layout? I have one ad from auctionads at top that I programmed to show stuff related to page that is being viewed, but I dont know about the rest. I am not getting much traffic and clicks yet so I cant compare ad units. I am getting so far only about 0,5 CTR% :(

    Thanks for you time, Smaug

Firstly you really need to have an ad unit at the top of the page. At the moment there are no ads above the fold which will explain the low CTR. The 336x280 ad unit is known to do well so this should be placed near the top. Make sure you blend it in well and integrate it with your content.

I noticed that with the ad units that you do have haven't been blended in properly. The backgrounds are fine but the titles and urls should be the same as the rest of your site.

I might be wrong but I don't think you should place that link unit in a list of links called Anime downloads. Its against the TOS.

The majority of your ads are placed at the bottom which isn't really going to get viewed much.

My general advice is try to integrate them more with the content of your site. People will be looking at the content therefore see the ads as well. Also make sure that you blend them in properly to achieve a higher CTR. Try to include at least one large ad unit above the fold.

    I hope this helps you!

I'd move that chatango box down the page and get some real content above the fold alongside the Adsense. I'd also move those anime download banners up, they look too nice to hide down at the bottom.

in my opinion, you must add one link unit above your main menu

So I did partial redesign, as you can see I added big ad block on top where were graphics before, hope that helps. Under that I left the auctionads ad block, I will test it two or three days ... so far no one has clicked on it. Any other ads were removed, I added only one text link block after each post, it should work well in "Watch anime" section, it blends right in...

Thanks for tips, if you have any other recommendations I am listening...

    Thanks, Smaug

Do you think I should put above it the blue header with "Advertisment" or "Sponsor Links" text or just put it there with only whitespace surrouding?

Ok, I solved it, I removed the auctionads ad block.. 250 impressions and not a single click... dunno, but I added above link unit above menu, as suggested, and it blends quite nicely, Thank you!

By the way: is it possible to have only one link in 728x60 ad block? like on http://www.blogcrowds.com/ (it appears there only sometimes) ? I dont want four links at top, thats too much =/

The current layout looks great. For your ad on the blue banner, try changing the ad link color to yellow so it stands out a bit. (make sure it's the right shade)

thanks, I will try to play around with the colours...

And another problem came up, I received so far today one click for 0.01$ - from link unit in sidebar... what does it mean? should I reduce number of ads on page because of smart pricing or it is something else?
