I think position is ok and should give you a good CTR!

Rather than placing two "small square" ad units close together to form one block of ads, I would replace those with a medium or large rectangle instead. The other ad unit is better utilized to place it in between article post.

Thanks both of you. I'll looking into adding 1 unit instead of 2 and test in the text body, but I think that may ruin the flow of the articles? Hmm... I suppose it needs to be tested.

just remove the hover effect of the top yellow box, where you have placed 2 ad blocks. and of course, you can place a 160x600 ad on the right side of your site, between the "subscribe to rss" and "about us" box. just mask it like your about us box. good luck to you.

Hey guys, I've gone with some of your suggestions and I'm currently testing out what I would call the 'main' blog ads. At the moment you'll see their black and under the menu, how'd you think this will work?

I'm looking for a balance with design and ads - I don't want the ads taking up too much of the screen either. Difficult... :)

    Thanks for all replies
