Review on my site with Adsense

Hi guys, just found this forum and it's a very nice forum i'd say :)

Like what this forum's section is about, can anyone please review my blog site and let me know what can I do to improve my adsense earnings?

    Site: http://www.raymond.cc/

Currently I have about 1500 unique daily but the earnings is about $3-4 daily(is it against Google's T&C to say this?).

I read somewhere that he left his full time job when his site reaches 3000 unique. I am half way there for my site unique visits but I believe the earnings from adsense is not even near there.

I would recommend integrating a Medium Rectangle or some sort in the main frame. At the moment it looks like the SkyScraper is isolated.

I've already done similar to you and here are my recommandations:
    remove the skyscrapper.

Second, edit your template so you can have a 728x90 leaderboard. These gave me a 6:1 ratio compared to the ads I have in the middle of my page, so you can imagine how much you can get from these.

I'd try another position for the google search tool bar and also the FireFox promotion. Put your stuff at the top, then the leader board, then your content, and finally the firefox referal and the search toolbar would be a great setup.

    Good luck with Adsense.

I agree. I sort of overlooked everything on the right margin.

    thanks guys for your reviews.

    1. Skyscrapper removed.
    2. Added 728x90 leaderboard on top of my main pages.
    3. I removed the Google search because doesn't blend well with the leaderboard.

I can't find where I should put the google search. I do have people using my Google search, but it's not generating any money from there :(

What do you think of my new adsense changes?

You won't get any money from the search unless people click on the sponsored links.
It looks better now, but still not enough ads. 1500 unique clicks is very good for a site like yours and you should be glad.

    Thanks.

Most probably I will add another adsense in the middle of an article.

    Google TOS says...
"Up to three ad units may be displayed on each Web site page."

Meaning only 3 ads no matter in what sizes?
Example, can I play 2 skyscraper and 2 leaderboard?

I think your 336 boxes inside your main content will do well. Give them a weekl at the color they are and then I'd suggest trying the link in the standard internet blue link.

I often find that this will increase ctr.

    Kelvin, standard internet blue link?
Don't you think that the standard internet blue link looks exactly like an ad and people would actually skip it right after seeing it?

Standard link color is good because people know it's going to somewhere else, so they just analyse the link title without checking if it's ad or not.

But blending your ad links colors to the colors of the links on your website should give you approximately the same results (I think).

In my experience, this hasn't happened but it will depend on things like placement, the type of traffic your site receives etc.

All you can do is test it and see whether it holds true for you, which is why I suggested leaving it as it is for one week and then changing it to blue for one week.

You'll be able to compare the stats and know whether the change was good or bad.

The bottom line with Adsense - certain things will always improve ctr regardless of site and then for lots of other things the nuances of that particular site, its market and traffic will influence what does and doesn't work.

    Best of luck

Within 2 days I changed a little here and there.. especially the standard blue link, my click has nearly doubled. And so is my earnings :)

    Thanks!

My next aim is to add pictures next to the ads. I heard that will increase the CTR. Right?
