First off get rid of "featured sites" and "sponsored links", as these are not adsense TOS compliant. Second, try to place ads as text links at the top of the page rather than at the bottom of the page.

yikes that adsense box on the right hand side of the debate site looks horrible it does not flow at all make it square the roundness does not make my eyes want to flow over there because it is inconsistent also I think you should change the colors of it, same with the link unit on that site.

I have added a link ad just under the top menu. Is this ok?
I got a serious raise in the links yesterday, not sure if it's because of the changes or just a coincidence, we will see... But I had a 15% of CTR, so that is not good. should I take any changes, so that I don't get problems with adsense staff?

Put Google text links ads on site #1, above the "Home" Gradient header, to entice first click in screen. Put 2 Google ads above the Poll and the Poll below them; Nobody is going to scroll down and read the ADS, make them apparant to incease CTR. Site #2 does'nt need any improvement.

ok, but then I can't have souch a big ad tower, because the poll and search will be pushed so much down, right? I don't wnt to destroy the usability of the page?

Agreed, only do 2 Ads above the poll, as to keep the ratio aspect even,; Then you can do two more below the poll if you want.

    Well you are getting there...

    On this site,
    http://www.debate-motions.info/
I'd drop the link units below the toolbar and make the background black.
Add in a narrow logo just for balance, make it bright.
Add a 160 X 600 Skyscraper on the left hand side

    Add traffic, make money.

The other site, well I think I'd just dump the theme altogether and try something else. Too much to do there.
