Ringtone Site

I'm interested in making a site where I can distribute ringtones to people in the US, not internationally. Does anyone have any experience doing this and would like to share how they got started?

So far, my issues are:
1.) I want the money to be charged on their phonebill I.E I dont want them to have to use a credit card. How do I go about doing this? Do I have to call major networks to get this setup?
2.) Dont know how to have SMS' sent via the internet w/ the respective ringtone in the message. Ive seen some sites that offer this, but it usually has to be done manually. Is there anyway to have it automated?

 

I believe it is automated. Anyway, you can find a freelance programmer who can do the job for you.

Just sign up for MediaPlazza, they will give you a small commission for every ringtone, wallpaper or game you sell. They handle the billing system, the user is charged on his phone bill and does not require a credit card.

Another approach would be to join Commission Junction or Azoogle Ads ringtone affiliate program which pays about $5 per sign-up.

 

Mediaplazza is really good. I have used it on one of my site till I work on the actual website content.

That is what's bad with ringtone site and adsense. You are constantly competing with the ads adsense is showing.

you can sign up with affiliate programs that give you premade pages
