Seasonal slowdown coming?

Hey everyone - I wasn't as active a year ago in all this craziness. Can anyone tell me whether there was a slowdown in ad income/sales after Christmas of last year? What I'm asking is, is there a traditional January slowdown before things crank up again?

Or, alternatively, do the new advertising budgets start up in January?

(Apologies if this is the wrong section - I'm more interested in adsense-specific answers, but not necessarily.)

I see you have a site about Christmas soo in the logical way you will have higher earnings as this is the specific period ....

Yes, surely. But I have other sites too, and plans for more, and was wondering whether the post-holiday season is slower economically.

I have been using AdSense for three years now and my best income period is in December and in January. I think it depends on your site, what is in demand at the time, etc. Still, I have noticed that the larger pool of AdSense customers is diminishing my overall returns.

It would depend what sector your advertisers are working in. I for example - don't spend in December because our business slows down in December with things kicking off again in January. New budget in April - so I'll slow down in Feb / March cos I'm out of budget. Depends on what sectors you are doing business with.

My traffic usually increased in December and the following months (They deal with consumer electronics so it's not unexpected).
