I'll start the ball of by denouncing these 2 sites in my directory list. If nothing else works, at least they won't be able to carry on business as a respected directory.

Reminds me of The Georgia Black Book . The blurb about it says something about dastardly deeds. Stealing a site is dastardly.

    clasione,

I see that not even the index page is cached. So, how did you discover the clone?

The seekon directory seems to have one to three entries per category plus Adsense. That's not very sophisticated, it's just an Adsense lure and not a very good one.

    Claione,

To start with from the whois information try sending the mail directly to the site owner. Also send a mail to webmaster@ZZH1984.COM

From the Whois information, contact the web hosting company used by the site and inform them of their customer's abuse. Like in this case the site is hosted on planet server, however, it doesn't mention the intermediate hosting company name. So you have to mention the IP address and let The Planet know about the same, their email id is abuse@theplanet.com

    Following resources might be useful:
    http://www.google.com/dmca.html

I got negetive rep'd for this thread. I'm looking into a screwthemiddleeast and europe domain now. If this incites anger, it will be popular.

Whoever the pussy is that gave the neg and didn't sign their name is probably a poor business man taking their frustrations out on me. I could have done a backlink or two in the time you wasted on me fool!

Oh and my stats, let's see, yep, real good. I had Rib Eye Steaks tonight. Yep, dead cow. Do they have beef in your country?

    Thanks

And you don't need them, you choose to use them. I'm sure your kids will appreciate it when they go for jobs. :/

Ok I got the site taken down:
http://www.asesoresltda.com/ is no longer showing my www.beaconpsot.com web directory.
In this case I didn't even contact the webmaster. I just wanted him to wake up in the morning with an email from this hosting company noting that they had taken his website down. I see no sense in contacting a webmaster asking them to take down a copy of your site. In this case I want to say hats off to www.lunarpages.com .

I wrote Google an email letter and hopefully they banned it....

This is also a great example of why an inbound link should never hurt your site....

I have no control over that copy, yet it links to me with a sitewide...

I’m going through the same problem with WoW Directory. The entire word directory topic structure was copied as well as the submission guidelines page. I don’t care for this kind of manure and have already contacted or legal service. You can do a lot more then just have the site removed, they can end up paying the legal expenses and any profit derived from the theft.
