Selling on this forum?

Seems like people on this forum aren't interested in purchasing things I have for sale..

    Check out http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=221958 for example...

Any idea why no one's responded? I've got everything there.. the pricing should be right, correct, if it's made $200 since it's start?

What have I done "wrong", where almost everything I list for sale gets nearly no replies or any interest

    Thanks

I think you have posted your request just today, give some time to members to go through your link, traffic stats etc. I am sure some one will find interest in your offer :)

I read it and ask myself... What is it? We don't want to have to click off to it, you should explain why we should buy it and what it is we will be buying.

Alright, so I should edit it and say it's a proxy site, you buy it for revenue purposes, and I've already added what comes with it..

I'll give it some time though...

    Thanks

Well, beside of the fact that proxy sites are becoming less and less useful since the market is overcrowded, I clearly see that the revenue for this site is dropping. "[around $20 so far this month]". The sale sounds more like "I want to get rid of it since it won't earn me a lot in the future. And after all it's time to sell it now since the revenue is going down" rather than "I really ain't got no time to administer this site any longer. I am fine with selling it for some decent amount of money."

Get the point? That neither critique nor an attack or something, just the impression I got from THIS sale thread.

    Thanks

I think it depends on the forum too - some forums are great for selling
stuff, and some aren't. For example, most prices in the sales forum here
are less than $10, but over at Warriors most prices are over $10. Have
you considered using SitePoint.com to sell your stuff?

Hmm yeah that's true that proxy sites, there are too many of them.

I guess I should consider SitePoint.

    Thanks

Don't know if this works, but I would imagin that if you are selling something that what you are then you should have it in point form at the top of the post. Like:

    FOR SALE: Website
    Website: http://sitename.com
    Sites Income: $30,000,000.00
    BIN: $1
    Sites Topic: Music / Entertainment
Sites Brief Description: A great music site that offers.....
Reasons For Sale: Don't think it makes enough

IF YOU ARE INTERESTED THEN THERE IS MORE DETAILED INFORMATION BELOW

    .......................
    More Info.......

If people are then interested they will look at the more indepth information about your site and why you are selling it and how to find your stats info, earnings images, etc.

This may not be the way, but people do really hate reading alot of information unless they get interested in it and to get them interested you need it short and straight to the point so that it catches their eyes.
