SEO guy talking rubbish?

    So this guy I know who does SEO claims "I knew the latest update was coming months ago and changed my site accordingly". (referring to a recent update and google)

    I'm thinking no-one but google could know when they're going to do a update therefore he's talking out his rear end. Correct?

    We all know changes are coming. As a peon, I just do not know when or what to do to rank well when algorithm does change.

    Am sure people have the dates of major algorithm changes recorded, like Florida last year before Christmas etc. There may be a pattern like with the old fashion Google dances. Generally they occurred approximately monthly with maybe 10 dances per year or some such.

    Well at the moment it seems PR updates are every 3 months and backlink updates are every month however, no-one but the Googlers know exactly when.
