Well you can rest assured that I'll never be stalking you Minstrel, unless it is with a gun. But then I can't do that because I don't believe in Capital Punishment.

As for Cricket, we are long time Internet friends. I don't have to stalk her. We are always glad to hear from each other.

Smooth, Bob, the way you carefully side-stepped the blow-up sheep issue...

The dominican republic is pretty nice in ways. I wasn't too bothered by the bugs, the weather is similar to Florida and most of the prices are pretty low. Relaxed attitude from most of the people. I stayed in the center for most of my two week stay which is a very poor area, with a few houses scattered around that are nice vacation homes. So odd to see a large cement home with metal gates at the drive way with cement driveways, etc and on both sides having not more than just shacks next door.

Like many of 3rd world countries, the driving is quite interesting.... a stop sign is a suggestion and mopeds running everywhere with up to 5 people (2 adults and 3 children) on them!

My wife is going there with our oldest son in August and maybe she will want to move too.

Violent crime didn't seem to be a serious concern outside of Belize City.

The #1 cause of death in Belize is traffic accidents.

One of the sites I was looking at at had like monthly rentals for $500, but recently when I have been looking I keep finding prices closer to american prices. Maybe everyone realized when you have website you can charge more.

I was thinking of going for like a month to try it, maybe a week or so first. You get satellite internet with cable speeds for around 120 a month.

I have few more web design clients to get rid of and maybe I will take some time off.

Belize seems to have two kinds of housing:

    1. Housing built to local standards - very inexpensive.
    2. Housing built to American standards - very expensive.

We were having trouble finding a good middle ground.
