G pays more weight to sites with constantly changing content.

One way to obtain changing and fresh content and even relevant content in many cases is to Syndicate news feeds from various sites.

One option is to syndicate from free press release sites which offer industry specific feeds free of charge.

This way you provide the google spiders with fresh food and your visitors with new ind interesting content.

It is not about MY press release sites. It is a SEO tip about using press release syndication in general and there are about 10 other free press release distribution websites which provide individualized industry-based syndication.

Just trying to be helpful, that is ALL. I do not sell anything, our PRs are 100% free as well.

Sorry, but I have to disagree with you on this point. Alta vista had a fresh content boost, Google oes not AFAIK. I would agree with what your saying about getting press releases, but the boost here comes from the fact that other sites display the press release with a backlink to your site. Also you are right in saying that google likes fresh content.Adding fresh content will certainly get googlebot coming around more, but will not boost your positions in the serps.

I seem to recall that the Sleeping Bags test got a boost in SERPs when the page was refreshed - without any other change.

(Sorry but it's too big a thread for me to go and find the relevant post - maybe Foxy, Compar, or McDar would know for sure).

Are U sure about that? I think G will spider your site more often if it finds new content often, but I don't think G puts more weight to those sites.

Why not refine it further by offering keyword SPECIFIC news feeds? Surely this will help even more?

E.g. got a Nintendo related site? Try: http://www.feedsfarm.com/s/nintendo

    Dig Linux? Try: http://www.feedsfarm.com/s/linux

PRBot: Your PR sites are impressive, if you would like I could add your feeds to the feedsfarm.com index.

I have never seen anything to indicate that fresh content results in higher rankings. More frequent spidering perhaps, but not higher rankings.
