    I've got ESPN in the background - on their Hi Def channel...

    Competitive Eating - the 2005 Alka Seltzer Open. They just interviewed the lady who won the spaghetti eating contest and is moving on to the next round.

    Yes, this is a serious event - apparently it's in Vegas.

    I think it's time to change the channel!

    My remote is on the other side of the room, so it's still on. The commentary is hysterical - "he's a tall guy, big hands, large mouth - this guy has the makings of a champion" - cheese fry eating round is on now... I can't believe I'm actually paying attention.

    Still to come... the American Record Holder in something... little skinny asian girl.

    Whenever I see those things it always reminds me of "Stand by Me" (I think) when the one guy started a "Barf-a-Rama" at a pie eating contest.

    Do those events have an audience?

    Maybe we can scrape a few bucks together to fly Nintendo to one of those events and have him start talking and showing photos right at the end
