    I want to create the same payment setup for my own website like odesk. So what I wanted to know was: what is the setup odesk uses to accept payments and automatically be able to take there percentage and pay the person that was hired. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

    You can use PayPal or depending on the sales volume, location, and customer demands, you may want to use a regular merchant account that understands ecommerce.

    So what country is your business in? That determines what type of merchant account provider will work with you.

    Merchant account providers look at such things as...
    - the country you live in
    - the country the business incorporated in
    - high risk products like adult, gambling, diet, travel,
    - dropship or your own supply or digital download
    - greater than $5,000 month sales
    - owner's credit score, criminal record
    - business/personal bank accounts
