OK, I was being facetious.... but married and lonely I would tend to find sadder than married and bored. The latter you have more of a chance of doing something about.

A lot of people get married just to get married. They think it's the logical next step in their lives.

"Well, I'm 24 now...guess I gotta settle down and get married."

Some of my friends that have been married for just a few years get EXCITED when their wives have to go out of town for a few days. "YES, I just took Jenny to the airport, I'm free all weekend."

Yeah, well you could've been free your whole life if you wanted.

I don't get it.

 

Except the freedom is so much sweeter after a couple of years of nagging

Ok, my 2 cents...

I am happily married now 13 years (since I was 20) and we have 6 kids that have helped us grow. Yes, we have had some hard times, but that is where the committment pays off, we love each other more now and are still growing in that love. It isn't always easy, but definitely worth the effort. (I love you Jessica)

(side note: we didn't live with each other or were we ever intimate before our wedding night, that to me has been a big plus in our relationship.)
