Should Alabama Put A Gas Freeze On Gas Explosion? (due to incompetence!)

As you know, every time some stupid disaster happens within the oil/gas industry....
no one ever wants to take the blame, however, they are always quick to raise
gas prices, and pass "what should be their costs" onto consumers....

Colonial Pipeline Explosion Prompts Fears of Higher Gas Prices For Weeks to Come

Fires are still burning at the site of a gasoline pipeline explosion in Alabama on Oct. 31. A crew of contractors from L. E. Bell Construction was working on the Colonial Pipeline line in Shelby County around 3 p.m. when their equipment struck the line, causing the explosion. One worker was killed and five others were injured, four with serious burns.

L.E. Bell Construction appears to have a long history of "serious" violations;
60% are considered serious, 26% other (vague) and 13.3% are repeat offences.

maybe the party responsible should pay for any gas increases!!!!
maybe they should get millions in fines rather then mere 1000s....
which seems like like a deal, and a gift to the company for doing wrong.
