Should I Reveal my Age on the Internet?

As an adult I don't really think that age matters. But for a 14 y.o., I would just be 'cautious'

 

i don't see any problems in revealing age on the internet. don't reveal your name and address

 

I don't think it's bad to reveal your age nor your name. The one thing you do not reveal is your personal information such as Credit Card, Address, and etc....with only having your name and age they cant find you...lol

 

You should never reveal any private information to strangers on the internet,
it's dangerous.

As much as possible no, revealing more personal infos makes you more vulnerable to the public.

 

revealing ur age on a webmasters forum will make u loose some business oppurtunities if u r a seller. But displaying ur age on social sites doesnt hurt ur Financial feelings !!

 

I don't see anything wrong in giving your age.If you can give your name, you can give your age too.However, giving your address, contact details and other personal details is not advisable.

Mabuhay tayo mga Pinoy! I think sometimes it is advisable not to reveal our real age on the internet. This is for safety purposes especially for minors. As for me, I hide my age because I am not young anymore hehehe.

 

To me, age is not a barrier for someone to perform well. So I don't see there's a need to know about this piece of information in the first place.

 

I don't think there should be any problem in revealing your age, just don't reveal your other particular information, like - Address, Phone no. and such.

 

Problem? My foot I am of 13 and entered orkut at the age of 10, A hacker since 2 years and I make a good profit on net. Everyone knows my real age.

 

I don't take teenagers seriously. They change too quick.

It's kinda an individual question, if you want that your interlocutor will know your age, then you can tell it him/her and vice verse, if you don't want that your interlocutor will know your age, you just don't tell it to him/her. I believe that it's a right of everyone whether reveal real age or not. In my opinion, people are able to reveal their age if they are convinced that they trust a particular person. Moreover, this information isn't belonged to confidential information about a person, so you can easily share it. So, everything is individual as I said and is up to you. Be careful in the net.
