Today, I received an offer of $700 for my new website, www.TheLoveQuilt.com . Dp you guys think I should take that offer, or should I keep it and see if it will explode? It's hard to keep up with it while I have school work almost every night, so it's a tough decision for me.

What are you doing to make it explode and how much is it making you now? Don't think it will explode by itself if you are going to let it sit because you don't have the time to grow it :)

Just a thought from someone with too many websites that all could explode

Well I haven't done any marketing like I said in my previous post. That is why people are saying that when I do get to that, it will have the opportunity to 'explode'.

Depends on if you have any plans for the site. Because the site looks really generic and boring the way it is right now. If you plan on keeping it the way it is I would consider selling it. Have you been able to make any money off the site so far?

$700 dollars is a good deal! You should sell it.

I agree. It is not bad for $700. Besides you have school work so why don't you sell it more focus to your studies.

I do plan on mixing some things up, but not too much. I wasn't going for a mind-blowing design or layout. I want to keep it simple. And yes, I have made about $18 in a little
    over 2 weeks.

And I would like to make a suggestion. You might want to consider reversing the order of the boxes so that the newest ones are first and the older ones are at the bottom. And maybe archiving them by months. Just a suggestion. I think the site has great potential though.

Yea, I have gotten that first suggestion before. But for the second one, it would be hard for people to go back and look for their box if it is archived by month.

Id take the $700 and use that money to invest in other website ideas. Think about the facts. You said yourself you havent done marketing. And someones offered you $700... so why not take the money, and pocket $500, and build another website with $200 in marketing and see what happens? I say sell it!

It depends on yourself. If your school work is busy, you could sell it and get $700. This way is not bad, just like webrec said, you can invest another site if you are interested in site development. Of course, if you really like it and don't willing to sell it, please keep it.

Your website has a good concept. I think your target market will be mainly females age 15-35. I can imagine them spending hours reading all the love stories on your website. Since you are one of the first people with this concept, I think its important to find a partner with good seo skills, and market the website as hard as you can for the next 12months, then sell at a much higher price. If the website is a hit, you are bound to get a lot of copycats enter the market, thats why you have to cash out quick. If this website is more of a hobby that you enjoy, then keep it.

I like the premise but at it's current state, I would have to say sell...

however if you planned to reinvent the image of this "Love Quilt" and make the site web 2.0 or better, I think that you could have something here with a little marketing and ingenuity on your end.

Bottom line is everything boils down to how much time you plan to invest in site because if you don't plan to invest any time, sell it ASAP!
