Silly stupid adds under e-commerce sites

Discussion in 'eCommerce' started by heftzwecke, Feb 21, 2016.

Since some time, there is always a silly deal bar popping up in every e-commerce site I have come by. I don't know what it is. I really hate it and I never had a look at any of these stupid deals. The question is how can I avoid this in my own website?

Those ADs shouldn't appear if you are not using any of these

    1) Have some FREE hosting/Domain
    2) Have some FREE website
    3) Using ADs by your own will
    4) If not all of the above then i suspect your website has been hacked.

As you didn't share your website URL so above are just some reasons of mentioned issue. So need you to share some more details. Thanks

I am not sure that I explained this right. These adds popping up now everywere. If I buy seeds at baker creek they are popping up, if I go to ebay etc. It is a bar with several products listed and it appears in the lower half of the pages.

Then I'd be doing a malware check on your own computer.
I bet it doesn't happen when other people go to the sites or if you use your tablet etc.

FWIW my daughter's laptop got repaired by HP in NZ, went in clean, came back with malware that did exactly what you described. Simple uninstall and the ads were gone.
